Mud Pond 2011
This will be my first season at growing koi in a mud pond. Ok I've left koi to grow in mud ponds in Japan but this pond is in beautiful South New Jersey.

The pond holds about 100,000 gallons and I put about 100 Tosai in. I put in all different varieties from 5" to 10". It is kind of late in the season to do this but they will get a few good months of space, food and warm weather.

So like I said 110 6" to 10" Tosai or 1 season old koi. Here are a few other pictures of what I put into the pond.

All the pictures were taken with my Iphone and they pretty much stink but when I rephotograph some of them in a month or so I'll take the pictures with a better camera.

I put the koi in the pond on 06/17/2011 and I haven't seen them since but it has only been two days.
The pond will be fed twice a day plus I'll set up an auto feeder to help out.
